Epoxy coated wire mesh is a composite material formed by electrostatically spraying epoxy resin powder onto a metal wire mesh (such as stainless steel, aluminum alloy, or carbon steel) and curing it at high-temperatures. This product is primarily used as a support layer in hydraulic and air filters, serving as one of the key components to ensure filter performance. Additionally, it is widely used to manufacture insect screens, effectively preventing the intrusion of insects and flies.

The color of the epoxy resin powder can be customized based on the specific needs of customers to meet diverse applications and aesthetic requirements.

Features

  • Oil immersion corrosion resistance. It maintains stable coating surface after exposure to hydraulic oil media under varying temperatures and durations, suitable for hydraulic filters in high-temperature and high-pressure environments.
  • Abrasion & corrosion resistance. High surface hardness ensures wear resistance and effective protection against chemical corrosion.
  • Weathering resistance. It complies with ASTM B117-09 salt spray standard, showing no changes after 96-hour testing, ideal for long-term outdoor and extreme environmental uses.
  • Exceptional adhesion. It passes H-grade pencil hardness test, 1 kg/50 cm impact test, and cross cut test, demonstrating strong adhesion to prevent delamination during prolonged service.
  • Flexural strength. No cracks observed after folding tests on steel rods with a 1 mm curvature radius, highlighting superior bending resistance.
  • High durability. Coating edges remain intact after slitting, with interlocking point bonding strength reaching 0.7 kg, ensuring long-term structural stability.

Applications

  • Filtration function: Used for particle grading and gas /liquid filtration. It serves as a support layer for filters to enhance its filtration performance and stability, and is widely used in the petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
  • Protection Function: Used for window screens and insect screens to block insects and flies; It is also suitable for poultry houses, rabbit pens, and animal enclosures, providing reliable protection for livestock.
